Camera Movements:
Let's explore Camera Movements!
The Static Shot: It is a plain shot with no camera movement.
A Pan: horizontal movement which is either left or right...
A slow Pan can build anticipation and rapid pans or whip pans can heighten energy and show relation or synergy between two characters.
Tilt is a vertical movement that is either up or down it can reveal the character in the setting and show dominance, vulnerability, or scale.
Push-in: An inverted camera movement to direct attention to a specific detail and pull-out is an outward camera movement that detaches us from the scene or film. It can show abandonment and helplessness or unveil something.
The Zoom:
Movement can go in or out unnaturally. This also unveils something building intensity or can scare you or draw attention towards you.
Crush Zoom has dramatic scenes or effects shown with the fast zoom and Dolly Zoom uses a Dolly movement and lens zoom to create a vertical effect. Either it's Dolly in zoom out or Dolly out and zoom in.
Camera rolls:
The camera rotates on its long excess without touching or changing the lens. This conveys unsettlement and it's disorienting our equilibrium. It can follow the character's movement in panic or conflict and even portray the regain of the throne by evil powers.
The tracking shot: Moves with the subject, tracking it down. It generates the question where is this subject going? It also draws the attention of the audience and builds tension.
What will exactly happen there?
The trucking shot: When the camera moves laterally or right and left tracking.
The Arc shot:
The camera moves around a subject in a typically horizontal arc but can also be a vertical arc. It unifies heroes against threats. Also shows intimacy panic or heroism. If speed is amplified it creates a dizzying effect reflecting mental stage of the subject.
The Boom shot:
The camera moves vertically up or down with the use of cranes jibs or pedestals. It captures the world around the subject and follows them in action or reveals information.
Random movement:
The camera shakes, incidental zooms, or any movement that happens in the fly and is not controlled.
